Aveola helps people meet new friends from around the world, as safely as possible. Just as you'd look after yourself while offline, common problems might arise when you’re socialized online. Aveola offers this general user community advice.
Impersonation or fraud
Anyone who pretends to be someone else or misrepresents their affiliation, connection, or relationship with another person is breaking our rules. If you see a fake profile, please report it to us.
Someone I don’t know is trying to contact me
Be cautious when talking to someone you’ve never met. You can report them directly. Please encourage your friends to do the same. While they may not be, you can also report the profile as a scam.
How Aveola handles it (Impersonation/Scams)
If we receive a report or see someone’s behavior that is confusing, odd, or abusive, Aveola content moderators will review the profile and may disable the account after investigation.
Sharing intimate images can risk privacy for anyone under 18, creating/holding/sending such images is illegal.

Our approach: We detect nudity and block uploads. Serious content that breaks our rules is removed.

Our approach: Bullying is taken seriously. Depending on the report, our system will open a case for tech and human moderation review. If the violation is substantiated, the user’s account will be blocked or restricted.
Swearing and simple slang do not cause rule violations.

Our approach: Inappropriate language and harassment lead to report and review. If the violation is substantiated, the user’s account will be restricted in accordance with our policies.
Hate speech targets people for who they are (e.g., race, gender, religion, ethnicity, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity).

Our approach: Zero tolerance. Upon receipt of a report, our system will open a case for both automated and human moderation review. If the violation is substantiated, the user’s account will be blocked in accordance with our policies.
Examples: violence, drugs, sexual content involving minors, gambling, criminal activity.
